Class Registration

Transfer Students

To access your personalized advising information throughout the orientation day and support your fall class registration, you will need a laptop or iPad. Please plan to bring a device with you. If you are not able to bring a device, you can participate in a loan service. Please call New Student and Parent Programs at 619-594-1509 by July 26 in order to request participation in a device loan service.

When you attend New Student Orientation in its entirety (8 a.m. to approximately 6 p.m.) and take care of the steps below, you will be able to register for classes at the end of your Orientation Program.

Note: If you do not attend an orientation, you will have to wait until all orientation programs have been completed. This will be after all transfer students who attended orientation have registered.

In order to register for classes, you must complete the following steps:

  1. You must clear any holds indicated on the "Tasks" tile located in my.SDSU. It can take up to 48 hours to clear some holds. Please plan accordingly or you will not be able to register for your classes at orientation.
  2. You must attend the entire orientation program; 8 a.m. to approximately 6 p.m.

Plan ahead so you can register on time. Your registration date/time will change after you complete the orientation program. (Please note: until the date of your orientation, my.SDSU will reflect a later registration date.)
