Aztec Parents Association

Parent and family supporter involvement plays a key role in the success of students. Parents and family supporters become members of the Aztec Parents Association (APA) through their attendance of Parent and Family Orientation (PFO), which runs concurrently with New Student Orientation. Membership makes it easy to stay involved with what’s going on at the university and provides direct invitations to all parent and family supporter events. Members have access to a knowledgeable, personal contact in the Office of New Student and Parent Programs.

San Diego State University partners with Alaska Airlines to offer Aztec Parents Association members a preferred discount of 10% on any Alaska Airlines/Horizon Air flight to San Diego, CA through December 31, 2024. To take advantage of this discount, APA members can review the most recent Parent and Family Supporter Newsletter.

Fare rules

You are entitled to a 10% discount off Alaska Airlines published fares (except companion and other promotional fares).
You may book and ticket on the blackout dates but no discount will apply.
Any change or cancellation after ticketing is subject to a service charge. All fare rules and additional blackout dates of the fare apply.
All tickets must be issued online or by the Alaska Airlines Group desk.
A $15.00 service fee will apply to any tickets issued by the Group Desk.
All current baggage allowances, fees and travel policies are applicable.
The discount does not apply to these departing cities/countries: Prudhoe Bay, Alaska; Canada, Mexico or Central America
