First-Year On-Campus Resident Parking Policy

San Diego State University considers the on-campus living experience an integral and necessary part of a student's total education. As a community, we also believe in reducing our carbon footprint and supporting overall sustainability in alignment with the university's climate action goals.

In support of sustainability initiatives, incoming first-year students who live on campus will not be permitted to bring a car the first year of study at SDSU. For more information, refer to the First-Year On-Campus Resident Parking Policy on the Parking & Transportation website.

Parking During the Semester

Student parking at SDSU is $174 each semester for a car or truck. For a motorcycle or moped, the fee is $37 each semester. Residence hall students with a car need to purchase the day and night use permit for $276. Fees are subject to change.

Purchase parking permits in advance online.

Please follow the directions, first-time users must retrieve their passwords before logging in. There is no grace period, so if you must park on campus prior to purchasing your permit online, purchase a temporary pay station permit, or utilize PayByPhone for that time.
