New Student Orientation Online Reservations

Before you start:
- Activate your SDSUid. As an admitted student, you will receive an email from [email protected] with instructions on how to activate your SDSUid account. Complete the steps in the email to activate your account. You will use your SDSUid and password to log in to the New Student Orientation reservation system.
- SDSUid Gmail account is required. You must have your SDSUid Gmail account set up to receive the confirmation email before you make your reservation. For instructions to set up your SDSUid Gmail account, please visit the: Google G Suite for Students page.
- Have a credit card ready. Parent & Family Programs fee due upon registration. MasterCard, VISA, American Express and Discover are accepted. Checks are also accepted, but your space will not be confirmed until we receive your payment. There is a $35 fee for returned checks. The due date for the First Year Experience fee ($324) is August 20.
- Know your major.Your reservation will be associated with the major in which you were admitted to the university. You cannot change your major prior to attending New Student Orientation.
- Know your date preference. Check the list of program dates. Be prepared with a second and third choice in case your first choice is full. Once a program is full, that date will no longer appear on the list of options in the reservation system.
- Have your parents’ contact information ready to complete the reservation form.
- If your parent(s)/family members will be attending with you, please enter the number of parents and family members under "guests" and fill in their names for their pre-printed name tags.
When you finish:
- Your orientation confirmation will be emailed to you. This contains valuable information, so please read it in its entirety. Please make a note of the date you choose. You will need your confirmation (hard copy or email) the day of your orientation.
- Your class registration date in my.SDSU will not change to your orientation date until you check in for orientation, and have attended the full day.
Space is limited for each orientation program (to allow students to make connections). Do not make travel arrangements before you have made a reservation for New Student Orientation. Once in the registration system you will be able to choose from only the dates available for your major.
The reservation system will be down for maintenance on May 15, June 26, and July 17 from 4:30 to 11 p.m. (PT)
