The Beginning of a College Career
Just as Commencement marks the completion of study, New Student and Family Convocation signifies the beginning of a college career. These rituals “bookend” the beginning and culmination of your academic journey.
Convocation brings new students and their families together with faculty and staff to mark a new beginning. It also serves as a vehicle to instill core institutional values of scholarship, citizenship and leadership.
All new transfer, freshman and commuter students and their families are strongly encouraged to participate in this special event.
