What is the deadline to register for Family Weekend?
- Early bird pricing ends on Friday, August 30 at 11:59 pm P.T.
- Deadline to register is Sunday, September 29 at 11:59 p.m. PT.
Benefits of making reservations for Family Weekend
- 20% OFF tickets to the San Diego State Aztecs vs. Hawaii football game during Family Weekend on Saturday, October 5, 2024 . A link for discounted tickets will be provided in your confirmation email. Offer lasts as long as tickets are available.
- A welcome packet full of resources and a lanyard with a name tag.
- Access to discounts at the SDSU Bookstore and Bartell Hotels.
- Access to visit departmental open houses and workshops, student organization expo on Friday, take campus and historical/cultural tours and experience receptions.
- FREE Kayak or Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) Rental at Mission Bay Aquatic Center
May I request special accommodations, such as a sign language interpreter?

Where can we stay during Family Weekend?
The Aztec Parents Association is proud to partner with Bartell Hotels to offer you discounts on overnight accommodations. Bartell Hotels offers eight unique hotels from beachfront to Shelter Island, La Jolla to Hotel Circle and next door to Sea World. Ask for the "SDSU Friends and Family Rate."
If I do not attend an event I have paid for, can I get a refund?
There are no refunds for cancellations or no-shows. Please make sure you are able to attend prior to submitting a reservation.
Can we bring grandparents and family friends to Family Weekend?
Of course, the more the merrier! You will need to register each adult attending.
We are from San Diego. Should our family still plan on attending?
Absolutely! The Aztec Parents Association encourages all families to attend Family Weekend. Family Weekend provides you with an inside look at your student’s SDSU life. Meet SDSU administrators and staff and enjoy planned activities just for you!
May I add another guest to my reservation even though I have already completed my registration?
Please contact our office to make any modifications to your reservation. Call 619-594-1509 or email us at [email protected]. Please note: There are a limited number of spaces for the signature events.
Is parking at Snapdragon Stadium included in my Family Weekend fees?
Please note that parking at Snapdragon Stadium is not included in Family Weekend fees.
If I make a reservation for the Family Weekend Tailgate, is a ticket to the football game included?
No. You will receive a discounted tickets link to purchase tickets to the football game in your confirmation email.
Why are we only able to sign up for one signature event?
We're limited due to venue capacity, and limiting reservations to one signature event per family allows all SDSU families to attend at least one event.
